Salvation Army Plays Host to Hard-Core Bands

A while back I posted a blog about "The Loaf" at The Salvation Army in Lawrenceville, GA. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution published an article about it on May 4, 2006. Click Here to check out the article. It's awesome! Praise God for Salvationists who clearly understand their mission.

  • Bret,
My kids saw this and are seriously pumped up.

A week ago, we bought a drum kit and a bass and bass amp to go with the guitars and keyboard that we already own.

We set up the equipment in our den, cut the cablevision down to 21 channels, and the kids, including the 2-year-old, are welcome to experiment with any of the instruments. It's been a great family-bonding tool. Cutting back the cable has had quite an effect as well.

My sons are also heavily interested in starting a rock band. In fact, they are quite talented and quick learners. You don’t have a clue how much encouragement this blog has given them.

Thanks for the inspiration. Great idea!

You have my ears for any of your ideas, as well as my respect for your vision.

    Grace and peace,
    Johnny
